Rosacea is an inflammatory disease of the skin. Strata-C is anti-inflammatory when applied to the facial skin.

The unique formulation does not contain steroids, antibiotics or retinoids

Strata-C cream accomplishes the following objectives:

• Reduces the redness of rosiatic skin
• Soften the skin with emollients
• Reverse the dryness and itching with moisturizers
• Reduce the formation of free radicals generated by ultra violet light, with antioxidants

The cream is an excellent emollient and reduces irritation and itching due to its anti-inflammatory activity.  The enzyme activators help in restoring and repairing the skin while the many moisturizers prevent dryness. One of the ingredients, Evening Primrose Oil, has been reported to be very active in reversing the signs of rosacea. The cream is a non-steroidal topical product and can be used for a long term without the harmful effects of steroids.  Strata-C is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and can be used on all skin types.

Active ingredients:

The two key ingredients are Cyclic AMP and Evening Primrose 0il.

Enzyme Activation:
The key ingredient in the formulation is the cellular nucleotide Cyclic AMP. This molecule is an enzyme activator that stimulates skin fibroblasts and generates collagen and elastin. This compound is a potent anti-inflamatory agent when applied topically to the skin.

 Emollients:
These agents soften the skin . These emollients include: Evening Primrose Oil, Avocado and Jojoba Oil.

Antioxidants:
To repair the damage brought about by sun exposure, two potent antioxidants (Vitamin E and Butylhydroxyanisole) were incorporated in the cream.

Moisturizers:
To maintain the moisture level in the skin and prevent dryness, several moisturizers were incorporated: Glycerin, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium Hyaluronate and Sodium PCA.
